Mono-Botanic design will be our design type for our May meeting. The NGC Handbook for Flower Shows describes Mono-Botanic Design on page 79., IX. Advance Design Types, I. Mono-Botanic – a design using multiple plant/s of one family or genus. 1) Plants may be stems, bloom/s, roots, fruit, foliage, etc. 2) Schedule may determine the botanical requirements, such as family or genus, or indicate designer’s freedom of choice.
